What area do you cover?
SpareKeys.com is a national service covering almost all of the UK - Northern Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland. Our regional storage and distribution centres are located in the following cities:
- Glasgow and Edinburgh covering Scotland
- Newcastle covering the North East
- Manchester covering the North West and North Wales
- Birmingham covering the Midlands and Mid Wales
- Bristol covering the South West and South Wales
- London covering the South East
- Belfast covering Northern Ireland

Will you deliver outside of these areas?
Yes. Special rates will apply, but only to cover our extra costs and expect delivery times to be slower than normal. Let us know your situation, and we'll find a way to help you out as quickly and cheaply as we can.

How do you ensure my keys aren't delivered to the wrong person?
We prevent this from happening in two ways. Firstly, our couriers only carry one set of keys per call-out. This eliminates all possibility of your keys getting mixed up with another SpareKeys.com member.
Secondly, our courier is only authorised to hand over keys once you have confirmed the delivery password. This unique identification password is generated and given to you during the delivery arrangement phone call. This prevents anyone who either isn't you or authorised by you, from receiving your spare keys.

How many keys can I send to SpareKeys.com?
The number of keys you can send to us depends upon which membership type you choose. Our current maximum is 4 keys, which should cover you for access to your home, office and car.

Can I send you an electronic key?
Of course! If your car keys or alarm key fob have batteries in them, we'll even check them before we send them out to you, so you can be sure they'll work when they arrive.

What happens if I move house or buy a new car?
If you would like to replace one or more of the keys you have in secure storage, you can either:
- Instruct us to destroy all of the keys you have registered with us. We will then send email you a new barcode to print and send in with your new keys.
- Arrange a delivery, swap the keys over and then return your new keys to us using a new barcode that we will email you
- If you have spare capacity within your membership type, you may send new keys to be added to your key ring. If you do not have capacity, talk to us about upgrading your membership.

How does SpareKeys.com identify my keys without my address?
That's an easy one. As soon as you sign up, we send you a unique number and barcode by email, which you print off and send with your keys. When they arrive, we scan them and we know immediately which keys they are. To be absolutely sure, we photograph the keys for our records.

Is there a limit to the amount of rescues I can ask for?
No, your SpareKeys.com membership entitles you to arrange as many 24/7 priority deliveries as you may need.

How do I return my keys to you after a delivery?
It is really important to remember to return your keys to us as soon as possible after your delivery. Until you do, we will be unable to rescue you again.
For your safety, our security measures prevent the courier from returning with an opened key container. This means that you will need to return your keys by post.
We recommend that you package them in a jiffy bag and send by registered post

I've missed my renewal payment. What happens now?
Your membership is automatically renewed every year. If, for some reason, your card doesn't allow this payment, we'll let you know and give you two weeks to sort it out, with no reduction in service.
After this period, if the payment still hasn't arrived, your keys will be put in Deep Storage for three months. They are perfectly safe there, and of course you can get them back, but they can only be retrieved from deep storage with 48 hour's notice.
After three months, your keys will be securely destroyed.

How do I cancel my membership?
If you would like to end your membership, please call us on 08700 695397.
We don't think that you will - less than a half of a percent of our members do. But of course, you are very welcome to. Just let us know and we'll arrange the return of your keys at normal call out rates (as per your membership plan) or securely destroy them if you would prefer. No penalty, no fuss.
